摘要: Summary Background Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a distressing chronic inflammatory skin disorder which affects predominantly the groins and axillae. In analogy to acne, oral isotretinoin has been considered in treatment of HS, although there are strong indications that this drug only very limited therapeutic effect. During past 25 years scattered case reports have described promising results with acitretin. Objectives To evaluate long-term efficacy acitretin monotherapy. Methods A retrospective study 12 patients severe, recalcitrant HS who were treated for 9–12 months at one Dermatology Centre Netherlands between 2005 2007 followed up 4 years.
