摘要: Males who seek commercial sex have been identified as an important “bridging population” in the transmission of HIV. There is little information on HIV-related risk perceptions and behaviors among male clients (CSMCs) China. This study reports qualitative findings from six focus groups 41 in-depth interviews with CSMCs Sichuan Province, Commercial visits were described a group activity associated patterns social-network specific interactions norms. Primary motivations for visiting female workers included peer pressure, stress reduction, fulfilling need intimate emotional support. Male clients’ decisions about condom use influenced by their perceived norms use, susceptibility HIV infection, policy availability establishments. Implications these further research interventions are discussed.
