摘要: Folk veneration of saints (hagiolatry) plays a major role in the lives many Moroccan Jews living Israel and constitutes basic ingredient their distinctive ethnic identity. In this context, pilgrimages to saint's tomb visitational dreams, which he appears person or some symbolic guise, are related phenomena through linkage saint is maintained his blessing granted adherents. This paper concerned with dreams collected among pilgrimage center northern Israel. An attempt made show how personal concerns dreamers mediated culturally shared idiom saint. We discuss structure life problems conveyed by them (drawing on illustrations from dream collection), therapeutic qualities significance framework sanctuary.
