摘要: The effect of silicon on organ growth and its mechanisms action were studied in rice (Oryza sativa L. cv. Koshihikari), oat (Avena Victory), wheat (Triticum aestivum Daichino-Minori) seedlings grown the dark. Applying form silicic acid to these via culture solution resulted promotion third (rice) or second (oat wheat) leaves. optimal concentration was 5–10 mM. No observed early organs, such as coleoptiles first In silicon-treated leaves, epidermal cell length increased, especially basal regions, without any number cells, showing that promoted elongation but not division. Silicon also increased wall extensibility significantly regions These results indicate stimulates some other Poaceae leaves by increasing extensibility.
