摘要: Early stopping of clinical trials either in the case beneficial or deleterious effect treatment on quality life (QoL) is an important issue. QoL usually evaluated using self-assessment questionnaires and responses to items are combined into scores assumed be normally distributed (which rarely case). An alternative use item response theory (IRT) models such as partial credit model (PCM) for polytomous which takes account categorical nature items.
