摘要: Background: While item response theory (IRT) offers many theoretical advantages over classical test in the construction and scoring of patient based measures health few studies compare scales constructed from both methodologies head to head. Objective: Compare responsiveness treatment migraine specific scored using summated rating scale methods vs. IRT methods. Methods: The data came three clinical that used Migraine Specific Quality Life Questionnaire (MSQ). Five quantifying were evaluate changes pre- post-treatment MSQ Likert scaling Results: Changes all scores highly significant studies. A single index was determined be more responsive than any one subscales across five quantify responsiveness. Across 13 15 tests (5 * 3 studies) conducted, most measure. Conclusions: increased migraine. results agree with psychometric evidence suggest it is feasible score a This approach warrants further testing other impact.
