摘要: Summary 1 Bact. fascians (Tilford), the causal agent of fasciation sweet peas, leafy galls, etc., has been isolated from abnormal growths on plants twenty-five different genera belonging to sixteen families, including both Monocotyledons and Dicotyledons. 2 All these strains Bact. were inoculated pea seedlings which, in majority cases, became severely fasciated. 3 Characteristic galls have produced chrysanthemums, carnations, Schizanthus sp., Nicotiana Heuchera sanguinea, petunia, Asparagus sprengeri, Pisum sativum, Phaseolus vulgaris Vicia Faba by inoculation with various fascians. No distinct biological variations among could be detected. 4 Inoculation gladiolus, tomato potato gave negative results. 5 The are invariably region bud tissue.
