Isolation of some strains ofCorynebacterium fascians (Tilford) Dowson in Czechoslovakia

摘要: Four strains of the phytopathogenic bacteriumCorynebacterium fascians (Tilford)Dowson were selected from our isolates and deposited in Czechoslovak National Collection Type Cultures (CNCTC) Institute Hygiene Epidemiology Prague. Two very virulent (Cor 83/82 “UPR” Cor 82/81 “UP”) one avirulent 81/80 “CP1b”) pelargonium strains, producing acid rhamnose, isolated fasciations onPelargonium zonale W. One celery strain ofC. 80/80 “CF4a”) was a root expiant ofApium graveolens L. growing on nutrient mediumin vitro. Morphological, cultural, physiological biochemical characteristics these compared with American patented cotype ATCC 12974.
