摘要: Abstract Objective: To study a possible association between ultrasound screening in early pregnancy and altered cerebral dominance measured by the prevalence of non-right handedness among children, particularly boys. Methods: Follow-up 8 to 9 year old children women who participated randomised controlled trial on during 1985–1987. The were followed up through questionnaire sent their mothers. dominant hand child was assessed eleven questions. foot one question. Results: No differences found non-screening group. In separate analyses exposure boys significant difference (odds ratio 1.33; 95% confidence interval 1.02–1.74). Conclusion: This could not rule out fetal life. was, however, confined comparing exposed non-exposed no associations when comparisons performed according groups.
