摘要: The first hypervariable fragment (HVI) of the mitochondrial DNA control region was sequenced in 90 individuals European roe deer ( Capreolus capreolus ) from Alps, central Italy and Spain. Pooling these data with 70 published sequences several regions, we were able to identify patterns divergence within Italian peninsula, Europe general. results obtained can be summarized as follows. First, genetic structure populations is substantial Φ ST values around 0.6). Second, between some populations, Alpine group (which genetically close French, Spanish Norwegian samples) Eastern seems reflect Upper Pleistocene subdivisions, possibly related three southern refugia. Third, a different probably diverged more recently group, their attribution subspecies C. c. italicus does not appear justified. Fourth, analysis used reintroduced animals western Alps which clearly cluster thus providing an important tool for conservation management strategies this species.
