摘要: Crystal structures and magnetic properties of the ternary sulfides BaLn2S4 (Ln = Sm, Gd-Lu) are reported. Their powder X-ray diffraction measurements Rietveld analyses show that they adopt CaFe2O4-type structure with space group Pnma. The lattice parameters linearly increase Ln3+ ionic radius. Magnetic susceptibility were carried out from 1.8 to 300 K. compounds for Ln Gd-Yb Curie-Weiss paramagnetic behavior, BaSm2S4 shows van Vleck paramagnetism.
