摘要: Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli, ETEC, colonize the human intestine by means of fimbrial structures called colonization factor antigens, CFAs. On ETEC strains three different types CFAs have been described, i.e. antigens I, (CFA/I), CFA/II and CFA/IV. In addition a number “new” putative identified, e.g. PCF0166, CS7, CS17 CFA/III [M.M McConnell, this volume] although their prevalence role in not fully assessed.
