摘要: Background: Neonatal sepsis is a life threatening disease with an incidence of 3.5 to 8 cases per 1,000 live births; and mortality rate 16 30%. Cytokines, produced by monocytes, macrophages, endothelial cells in response infectious stimuli are important proinflammatory mediators the early phases syndrome. Elevated serum levels interleukin-6 (IL-6) had been found both neonatal adult sepsis. However, for sepsis, little known about group molecules playing central role innate immune system. Among them neutrophil CD64 which expressed on surface many inflammatory conditions. Objective: To study expression neonates onset its relation other laboratory markers as IL6, CRP, total leucocytic count platelet count. Methods: This comprised 30 gestational age 28 40 weeks picture within 48 hours admitted care unit, Suzan Mubarak Hospital, El-Minia University, Egypt during period from February, 2008 January, 2009 20 healthy sex matched control group. Neutrophil was quantified flow cytometry. We measured plasma C-reactive protein, complete blood culture. Results: increased significantly than controls (p=0.001). Cases history premature rupture membranes (PROM) ≥48 hours, positive culture or poor outcome highest (528±50.7, 558±58.4 560.9±43.9 relative fluorescence units (RFU) respectively). A significant correlation between IL6 (r=0.71, p=0.001),C-reactive protein (r=0.74, p=0.001) (r=0.76 ,p=0.01) negative (r=-0.92, body weight p=0.006), but there no it (r=-0.32, p=0.08). Conclusion: early-onset correlated well Keywords: CD64, PROM J Pediatr Allergy Immunol 2010;8(1):19-25
