摘要: Orientation: Psychological instruments require continued refinement, updating and evaluation. Research purpose: To investigate the reliability, validity differential item functioning of MBTI® Form M across groups in South Africa using Classical Test Theory (CTT) Item Response (IRT) methods. Motivation for study: add to continual research improvement through investigation its psychometric properties Africa. design, approach method: This study falls within quantitative paradigm. test theory methods Rasch analysis were used evaluate MBTI gender ethnic groups. A cross-sectional was completed consisting 10 705 African respondents. Main findings: Excellent reliability found instrument sample. Good evidence construct exploratory factor confirmatory analysis. Some uniform bias a few items reflected non-uniform DIF only. The effect did not appear have major practical implications interpretation scales.
