摘要: Single crystals of α-alumina with {0001}, {11 $$\overline 2 $$ and {01 1 2} orientations were embedded in a matrix liquid phase sintered alumina to study single crystal growth the presence calcium aluminosilicate liquid. Growth on 0} surfaces was observed occur by diffusion-controlled mechanism while basal surface controlled two-dimensional nucleation. models, which incorporate change grain size, derived shown fit kinetics.
