摘要: Since the intrinsic laryngeal muscles in humans are involved specialized functions, one may suppose that this would be associated with expression of specific myosin heavy chain (MHC) isoforms, as has been reported for rat, dog, and rabbit. In order to determine which MHCs expressed human muscles, biochemical analysis using sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was performed. Thyroarytenoid posterior cricoarytenoid were obtained from a 7-month-old infant 4 adults. adult 3 bands resolved identical those previously described limb (I, IIA, IIB MHCs). contrast, also fetal MHC novel not observed other skeletal muscles. This band migrated at same level rat. these 2 isoforms disappear adult, persistence could correlated immature development functions and, particular, phonation.
