Optical properties of a semispherical quantum dot placed at the center of a cubic quantum box: Optical rectification, second and third-harmonic generations

摘要: In the present paper, we first apply finite element method (FEM) and Arnoldi algorithm to obtain energy eigenvalues eigenfuctions of a semispherical quantum dot located at center cubic box. Then, compact-density matrix approach an iterative are used find optical rectification (OR) coefficient, second harmonic generation (SHG) third (THG). Numerical calculations performed for typical GaAs/Ga1−xAlxAsGaAs/Ga1−xAlxAs system. It is found that OR coefficient has red-shift when radius R becomes larger. Raising potential height V0, magnitude SHG THG increased. Moreover, position resonant peaks affected by height.
