摘要: An electron diffraction study of an inorganic spin-Peierls system CuGeO 3 was performed. Weak superlattice reflections indexed by ( h /2) k l /2)( , : o d ) are observed in patterns taken at about 10 K with the [100] incidence. The interpreted as characteristic a structure space group B b c m or cell dimensions '≃2 '≃ and dimerization Cu atoms along quasi-one-dimensional [001] [010] direction, which is strong evidence transition. Strong diffuse streaks run * -direction through fundamental same temperature. attributed to low-frequency transverse acoustic waves oxygen octahedra can be precursors another phase transformation below
