摘要: Background: Simple renal cysts (SRC) are a common urological disease mostly in elderly, however the male-to-female ratio was 2.81. Androgen receptor (AR) activation initially proposed as vital signaling pathway prostate cancer and consequent signal transducer activator of transcription 3 (STAT3)-AR complex led an important putative mechanism by which cells sensitized with growth factor signals. However, SRC disease, no related study emerged. Methods: 30 patients 20 age-matched healthy controls were recruited. Puncture biopsy performed to acquire cyst-adjacent kidney tissue normal tissues from donor who received living-related nephrectomy. The expression STAT3 androgen determined immunohistochemical staining western blotting. in-vitro effect on human HK-2 (an immortalized proximal tubule epithelial cell line adult kidney) cells’ analyzed well. Results: Activated strongly expressed tubular kidneys patients, while it barely found kidneys. Meanwhile, positive cyst adjacent observed however, AR weakly male kidneys, statistically significant differences existed. In-vitro experiment demonstrated that when treated exogenous added androgen, level significantly elevated. Conclusions: Our data raised possible novel evidence androgen-STAT3 might contribute gender disparity clarification esoteric mechanisms will provide us attractive therapy target for cystic disease.
