摘要: Mast cell tumours (MCTs) are a common skin tumour in cats, but there is currently no histological grading system or reliable prognostic marker for this species (unlike the situation dogs). This study utilized set of 71 feline cutaneous MCTs with known clinical outcomes to assess potential various markers, including cellular proliferation minichromosome maintenance protein (MCM)-7, mitotic index and KIT labelling characteristics, positivity, pattern immunoreactivity score (IS). Of factors studied, were only features associated significantly survival times, while MCM7 IS not. The also highlights variability characteristics between tumours, which may prevent use as diagnostic tool.
