摘要: Phocid herpesvirus type 1 (PhHV-1) causes significant morbidity and mortality among young immunocompromised harbour seals. Therefore, the availability of an effective PhHV-1 vaccine would be importance for orphanages seal rehabilitation centres. Since possibilities to test candidate vaccines in target species are limited, a suitable animal model is needed. Given close genetic antigenic relationships between feline (FHV), FHV cat system could considered vaccines. Here we have tested based ISCOM its protective efficacy against infection cats. To this end, three groups cats were vaccinated thrice with adjuvanted PhHV-1, FHV, mock vaccines, respectively. One month after last vaccination, all challenged virulent strain. All protected from developing severe disease excreted significantly less than
