摘要: Murine monoclonal antibodies (MAbs) were generated against phocid herpesviruses (PhHV 2557/Han88 and 7848/Han90) isolated from European harbour seals (Phoca vitulina), strains of both felid (FHV strain FVR 605) canid (CHV isolate 5105/Han89). MAbs characterized with respect to certain biological properties used outline antigenicity profiles isolates PhHV (n = 8), FHV 7) CHV 3) in enzyme immunoassays employing fixed infected cells. A close antigenic relationship between derived pinnipeds terrestrial carnivores became evident: The majority the was directed epitopes which expressed by at least two viral species tested. number detected conserved all PhHV, CHV. few recognized type-specific B-cell facilitated identification single species. Moreover, 7848/Han90 antigenically distinguishable seven other herpesvirus or proved be distinct viruses tested when examined cross neutralization utilizing various reconvalescent hyperimmune sera. Although more data are needed ensure that indeed is a new genuine seal herpesvirus, preliminary clustering groups isolates, tentatively designated PhHV-1 (type 2557/Han88) PhHV-2 (represented 7848/Han90), seems justified. By using selected an unambiguous typing marine mammals significantly facilitated.
