Antibodies against european phocine herpesvirus isolates detected in sera of Antarctic seals

摘要: Neutralizing antibodies against European phocine herpesvirus were detected in sera of to two Antarctic seal species, Weddell seals (Leptonychotes weddellii) and crabeater (Lobodon carcinophagus), collected the eastern Sea. A large number positive crossneutralized canine herpesvirus, but only few also contained feline herpesvirus. The suffered from a respiratory disease when (January–February, 1990). significance possible origin infections documented for first time this communication is discussed. All negative distemper viruses.
