摘要: A non-oncogenic retrovirus was isolated from an explanted skin biopsy a captive California sea lion (Zalophus californianus) with history of recurring lesions. The morphology the viral particles in electron photomicrographs characteristic foamy virus, subfamily Spumavirinae. Viral cytopathic effects consistent virus infection were observed subsequent explants and lymph nodes co-cultivated peripheral blood leukocytes. persistent later died pericarditis caused by Pasteurella multocida. herpesvirus lung.
