Parasites of domestic and wild animals in South Africa. XXIII. Helminth and arthropod parasites of warthogs, Phacochoerus aethiopicus, in the eastern Transvaal Lowveld.

A total 69 aechiopicus, were collected from 4 localities within Kruger National Park, These harboured 16 nematode species, 2 trematodes, 1 or species adult cestodes larval stages cestodes. No pattern seasonal abundance could be determined for any helminths. The warthogs also infested with 3 flea louse 8 ixodid tick species. argasid nymphae a pentastomid. fleas genus Echidnophaga, sucking Haematopinus phacochoeri ticks Amblyomma hebraeum. Rhipicephalus appendiculatus. simus zambeziensis was determined.
