摘要: Abstract A fluorometric technique based on the bacterial phosphatase activity was explored to evaluate postantibiotic effect (PAE) in broth medium and milk of ampicillin, enrofloxacin, gentamicin tetracycline Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli from bovine mastitis cases. The time reach a preset fluorescence threshold at logarithmic phase linear response serial 10-fold dilutions unexposed cultures. This relationship used calculate for antibacterial-treated cultures attain their counts zero hour. calculated ( C ) then compared with recorded R same exposed (PAE = − ). method agreed traditional plate counting defining PAE ampicillin enrofloxacin test bacteria. Ampicillin did not show any either species. Enrofloxacin, exhibited varying duration depending antibacterial-bacterium combinations. Gentamicin longer PAEs than S. (4.2–4.8 h vs. 1.4 h). However, E. were seen (2.3 h) (1.7 (0.7
