Adverse effects of beta-blockade withdrawal in patients with congestive cardiomyopathy.

摘要: Fifteen patients with congestive cardiomyopathy who had improved conspicuously on chronic administration of a beta-blocker were studied after withdrawal the drug. In six there was pronounced deterioration their clinical condition, and in all remaining significant decrease ejection fraction, signs compromised diastolic function pathological apex curves an increase third heart sound. All these changes reversed within few weeks to months readministration beta-blocking drugs. This study supports idea that aetiological factor may be response sympathetic stimulation which could partly controlled by
