摘要: Abstract This study investigated the chemical components of fine urban road dust from seven sampling sites, based on which we could predict potential human health effects. The elemental compositions, including contents metals and volatile or semivolatile organic compounds, were determined to establish comprehensive profiles solid dust. profiles, consisting C: H ratio, metal contents, relative abundances provided a signature for To overall cytotoxicity values ranging between 7 58%, water extracts contributed less than 15%, cell death mainly occurred via direct contact with solid-phase components, possibly indicates that selected profile serve as strong predictor BJ WI-38 cytotoxicity. Pure oxides (Cr2O3, CuO, Fe2O3, MnO2, NiO, ZnO) exhibited positive dose-response, corresponding in well correlated viability. principal component analysis (PCA) results suggested stronger predictors benzene derivative hydrocarbon contents. established this be further utilized identify candidate hazard factors
