摘要: Noninvasive hair and fecal DNA sampling provides a means of collecting information on elusive species, while causing little or no disturbance. However, current methods collection do not preclude multiple sampling, thus risking sample contamination. We developed snare that prevents is cost-effective, easy to construct, safe for target nontarget species. Our initial field tests endangered San Joaquin kit foxes (Vulpes macrotis mutica) swift velox) suggest this may be effective in uncontaminated samples analysis.
