摘要: The Salvia hispanica L. is an endemic species Mexican plant, which relevance relies upon its properties as a natural source of omega 3 (α-linolenic acid), soluble and insoluble fibers, proteins, plus some other significant nutritional components. Due to the growing generated by this crop, it became necessary characterize physical environment, well factors related with cultivation nationwide, aiming find those most suitable for production under rainfed conditions, looking forward provide basis make decision regarding where target agriculture promotion such cropland. software used data process analysis was Arc/View 3.3 version. Thus, crop requirements were recognized in order analyze chia development each one selected variables study hereby. regionalization mapping aimed detect both optimal suboptimal potential areas carried out, afterwards. It finally determined that Mexico holds total 2,512,359 hectares or high potential, whereas medium are close 3,658,089 hectares, can be set conditions.
