摘要: During an investigation of porcine fecal viruses using a metagenomics approach, novel picornavirus was identified from the feces healthy two-month-old pig. This virus, named Japan (PPVJ), had standard genome organization, including L protein region. The 5′ untranslated region harbored type II internal ribosomal entry site. virus most closely related to lesavirus 1 (amino acid sequence identity: 38.2 %) in P1, equine rhinitis A (25.8 %) P2, and 2 (40.9 %) P3. According genus demarcations for family Picornaviridae (less than 40 %, 50 % amino identity P3, respectively), PPVJ represents new Picornaviridae. detected 23.3 % samples (from 58.3 % farms across wide area) pigs less four months old, by reverse transcription PCR, specific primers designed 3D sequence, followed sequencing. host range pathogenic potential this animals is yet be determined.
