摘要: To determine the clinical significance of intimal proliferation as a cause aortocoronary bypass vein graft obstruction, 492 grafts from 281 patients were studied 0 to 75 months postoperatively. All had been inserted between 1968 and 1975 by one surgeon using technique. The patency rate was 92 percent (55 60) in first month; 91 (49 54) at 1 3 months; 84 (37 44) 4 6 77 (33 43) 7 12 81 (113 140) 13 24 82 (59 72) 25 36 (66 79) 37 months. Vein samples obtained 41 patients: In 27 with 51 (early group), they 30 days (mean 14 days) postoperatively; (late group) 34 months) Intimal graded corresponding an intima/media thickness ratio 1,2,3 or 4, respectively. early group, all howed grade 2 proliferation; 5 these occluded, result recent thrombosis. late 17 histologically. patent showed prolferation. Four occluded but only proliferation. angiograms performed shortly before revealed grafts. Ten uniformly good caliber angiographically (graft/artery more than 1.5).
