摘要: The effects induced on the maximal dentate gyrus activation (MDA) by administering anticonvulsant lamotrigine (LTG), selective inhibitor of neuronal nitric oxide synthase 7-nitroindazole (7-NI) and precursor (NO) synthesis L-arginine, alone or in combination, were studied urethane anaesthetized rats. Either 7-NI LTG administration reduced number convulsing animals following angular bundle (AB) stimulation; their combined treatment a further increase effect as also demonstrated decrease MDA afterdischarge (AD) durations still responding to AB stimulation. On contrary, injection L-arginine an aggravation experimentally-induced paroxystic phenomena evidenced augmentation AD durations. co-administration with was able reverse pro-convulsant alone. results suggest efficacious interaction between nitrergic neurotransmission LTG-induced seizures.
