摘要: Textile fibres can be transferred directly, person to or scene (primary transfer), indirectly via an intermediate (secondary transfer). In criminal cases involving a transfer of textile fibres, it is often the case that whilst provenance recovered ‘crime significant’ accepted by defence, particular activity leading their surface in question which disputed. such circumstances, and persistence studies relating on substrate conditions assist evaluating whether presence crime relevant more likely have occurred one compared another. This study investigates effect time delay between primary garment numbers subsequently secondarily seat. Two donor garments composed polyester cotton respectively were employed this seats after intervals 0, 0.5, 2, 6 24 h. The number recorded according fibre type interval against levels at stage. results showed only relatively small percentage original found inversely proportional secondary transfer. addition, was order magnitude higher than for polyester.
