摘要: PURPOSE: To compare psychophysical impulse response parameters in retinitis pigmentosa (RP) patients and healthy controls using a temporal contrast sensitivity threshold paradigm, to measure changes these with RP progression. METHODS: Sixty-six 10 control subjects were tested, the amplitude timing of function computed through time-domain transformation under assumption minimum-phase properties. RESULTS/CONCLUSIONS: The initial rise time response, ta, was significantly lengthened compared controls, as fall from peak trough, tp-->t. log peak-to-trough amplitude, R, reduced. With disease progression, all continued move away normal range. Only minor distinctions according pathophysiologic subtype or mode inheritance found, supporting hypothesis common course secondary retinal degeneration across different subcategories.
