摘要: Evironmental pollution is a major public health concern due to the detrimental effects of pollutants humans and other living organisms. Chemical physical methods remediation are expensive do not result in complete removal pollutants. Moreover, both may lead more site disruption, thus impacting negatively biota immediate vicinity polluted site. Therefore, chemical considered eco-sustainable. Unlike these methods, bioremediation, which relies on biological processes (mediated by different groups organisms), results permanent This chapter covers: eco-sustainable features that susceptible organisms play significant roles advantages bioremediation. Furthermore, it highlighted some limitations bioremediation ways overcoming limitations. Together, techniques notably its cost-effectiveness at scales operation, simplicity process monitoring, less destructive sites during operation amongst make an technology for environmental management.
