摘要: Abstract The ecosystem services approach has increasingly emerged as a core requirement of ecosystem-based management the marine space. In this context, explicit quantification and mapping is considered key. This research proposes methodological framework that combines Geographic Information Systems participatory techniques to map service recreation opportunities, provided by coastal ecosystems. Attributes selected represent were scenic beauty, unique natural resources, accessibility, cultural sites tourism use aptitude. High values indicator concentrated on areas combined presence fauna (e.g. Southern Elephant Seal, Mirounga leonina), terrestrial routs, high associated glaciers. These corresponded southern part Almirantazgo Sound, northern Navarino Island coast Beagle Channel, surrounding Wulaia fishermen's cove. Zones showing highest 81–100) comprised 0.89% study area small proportion them coincided with aptitude for aquaculture, which represents potential conflicts, long aquaculture concessions remain operative. turn, lowest 0–20) located offshore in open sea, 0.49% area. Overall, methodology demonstrated capacity identify inform regional decision making regarding planning.
