摘要: Previous studies have reported that calcium binding proteins, which important functions in regulating the intracellular ion concentration, may influence vulnerability of neurons neurodegenerative disease. It has been observed containing calbindin D28K (CB) certain circumstances be more resistant to excitotoxic and ischemic injury. In present study susceptibility hippocampal CB develop NFT was studied, distribution cells compared with plaque density Alzheimer's disease (AD) brain. Interestingly CB-positive did not contain tangles could seen next degenerating tau-positive pyramidal cells. Comparison showed general were found areas a low burden. Further comparison cases differing degrees severity indicated relatively preserved moderate tangle content but severe lost. These findings indicate protected earlier stages this resistance ability is lost late AD. The observation do accumulate suggests proteolysis tau differs CB-negative
