摘要: Roots interact with soil properties and irrigation water quality leading to changes in root growth, structure function. We studied these interactions an orchard lysimeters clay sandy loam soils. Minirhizotron imaging manual sampling showed that growth was three times lower the relative soil. Treated wastewater (TWW) led a large reduction (45-55%) but not (<20%). increased salt uptake, membrane leakage proline content, decreased viability, carbohydrate content osmotic potentials fine roots, especially clay. These results provide evidence TWW challenges damages system. The phenology physiology of orders were lysimeters. Soil type influenced diameter, specific area, tissue density cortex area similarly all orders, while only Respiration rates similar both soils, hydraulic conductivity severely reduced respiration rate Loss order irrigated TWW. significantly affected by sodium-amended morphology, anatomy, indicate rapid major modifications systems response differences quality.
