摘要: Capture zone equations for a multi-well system in strip-shaped confined and unconfined aquifers with without regional flow are presented. The aquifer is limited by two parallel boundaries that either no (barrier) or inflow (variable head) so four possible boundary configurations formed. wellfield includes any number of extraction injection wells combination both types. field the was converted to its equivalent extensive using conformal mapping image well methods. To delineate capture envelope, potential, streamline stagnation point were derived velocity potential theory. solution permits rapid determination effect number, position extraction/injection rate wells, type direction, on size, shape pattern zones. readily extended water quality quantity management simulations, as shown embedding within optimization schemes, viz., Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) Genetic Algorithm (GA), automatically determine most efficient designs pump-and-treat remediation, contaminant plume containment pumping policy projects.
