摘要: Impact assessment is a powerful tool that has been remarkably successful in allowing the consideration of social, economic and environmental effects. The development Pakistan supported with growth gross domestic product, steady increase population change lifestyle; resulting waste amounts have also increased considerably. Karachi largest metropolitan city 10% total country generating more than 10,000 ton/ day solid waste. main purpose this study to assess impact landfill sites activities area. area was consider on area’s geomorphology, geology, air water quality, biological resources socio-cultural environment considered. Potential impacts identified through review literature, professional judgment, SWM process understanding field observations at different sites. Sampling carried out air, soil groundwater samples analysis them physical chemical parameters. finding analyses reveals sandy Case Study Abbasi et al.; JSRR, 6(4): 294-303, 2015; Article no.JSRR.2015.155 295 brown yellowish color. pH range from 7.25 8.08, sulphates concentration high.
