摘要: Clinical examination of cattle population in 4 villages around (<3 km) super phosphate fertilizer units Udaipur district (India) the month July for 2 consecutive years (1998 and 1999) revealed occurrence fluorosis. Prevalence rate disease was 27.1% during 1998, Which increased to 46.8% 1999. Lameness, bony exostosis dental lesions with varying frequency clinically manifested disease. Debility, inability walk defective mastication were also seen severely affected animals. Exostosis metatarsal metacarpal bones most frequently observed sign first year, whereas ribs more common next year. Affected animals had higher concentration fluoride serum (range 0.31-1.07 mg/litre 1998 0.13-2.02 mg/litre) urine 5.10-89.10 7.64-51.10 1999). The activity ofaminotransferases amylase enzymes concentrations creatinine cholesterol within normal range animals, but they level urea (7.84 ±0.65 mmol/litre). High fodder (534.4±74.9 mg/kg) surface water (0.782±0.249 1.186 ±0.286 contaminated from manufacturing units, suggested as possible source excess ingestion by study concluded that morbidity mortality pattern rather than or are better indicators continuous exposure fluoride.
