摘要: Imagined nanotechnology futures are polarised between utopian dreams and apocalyptic nightmares. This paper provides an introduction to nanotechnology, a highly complex research policy realm, the contesting of "nano-futures". How future past mobilised during development emerging technologies is particular interest. Drawing on work in field Science Technology Studies, which distinguishes 'looking into' at' future, nanotechnology's intensely future-oriented dynamic assessed. These dynamics have implications for understanding change processes images as well constructive engagement with "nanotechnology".
