摘要: Abstract The presence of an androgen-binding component in placenta was investigated vitro using a tissue culture system human placental explants. Explants trophoblastic from normal term placentas were kept under appropriate conditions for at least 48 h serum-free medium. existence protein explored by binding assays, immunohistochemistry studies and Northern blot analyses mRNA. Steady-state polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis Scatchard plot revealed the high affinity specific 5α-dihydrotestosterone cultured placenta. Immunohistochemical performed on intact Percoll-gradient purified cells demonstrated immunoreactivity cytoplasm syncytial cells. mRNA showed single hybridizable 32P-labeled sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) cDNA band approx. 1.6 kb which identical size to that obtained with liver results strongly suggest as origin SHBG point out this additional site synthesis during pregnancy.
