摘要: It is increasingly important to structure signal processing algorithms and systems allow for trading off between the accuracy of results utilization resources in their implementation. In any particular context, there are typically a variety heuristic approaches managing these tradeoffs. One objectives this paper suggest that potential developing more formal approach, including utilizing current research Computer Science on Approximate Processing one its central concepts, Incremental Refinement. Toward end, we first summarize number ideas approximate as currently being formulated computer science community. We then present four examples algorithms/systems structured with goals mind. These may be viewed partial inroads toward ultimate objective developing, within context design implementation, general rigorous framework expanding upon concepts methodologies.
