摘要: BACKGROUND This study is an analysis of our experience with blunt injuries to the subclavian or axillary artery in order delineate immediate challenges encountered and assess long-term outcome. STUDY DESIGN A retrospective was performed 15 consecutive patients treated for a injury hospital between 1988 1992. RESULTS Ten had multiple injuries, six were state shock at admission. Bleeding from contributed significantly three patients. Ischemia upper extremity overt ten Two died as result associated injuries. extensive tissue destruction underwent amputation, one shoulder level middle arm. Five survived denervated limb brachial plexus damage; only neurologic consistent potentially reversible lesion. Arterial repair, upon not undergoing patent median time 33 months all but patient. Among seven disability (two amputated five extremities), patient resumed previous work. CONCLUSIONS Blunt trauma significant morbidity mortality. In long-term, lesions plague most patients, who are left severe limb, which complicates their return society.
