摘要: The Ms 8.0 Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008 resulted numerous landslides disturbing vast areas of vegetation. However, almost 5 years following the catastrophic event, vegetation recovery affected regions experienced dynamic changes. In this paper, a new method is proposed to detect poor (PVRAs) where has significant difficulty. By using 8-day interval Moderate-Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) images from 2000 2012, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) values after earthquake are compared with past NDVI distributions before earthquake. This fully considers processes recovery, including both seasonal and annual variation values, identifies landslide disturbances natural fluctuations. Then, been applied study area Pingwu County its validity checked by field works manual interpretation different periods SPOT5 imageries. comparing unrecovered sites, optimal threshold define PVRA determined. research singled out four types (namely “deposition,” “back scar,” “mixed large,” “land use change” types) area, each type linked reasons for recovery. Finally, mostly counties, Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI) greater than VIII. Spatial patterns indicate that significantly process over relatively widespread regions.
