摘要: The neurotransmitter dopamine (DA) is known to be involved in a multitude of physiological processes. We investigated sexually dimorphic effects disruptions DA homeostasis and its relationship senescence using three different Drosophila melanogaster mutants namely Catsup (Catsup26 ) with elevated levels, pale (ple2 ), Punch (PuZ22 depleted levels. In all genotypes including controls, levels were significantly lower old (45-50-day-old) flies compared young (3-5-day-old) both sexes. Interestingly, females had content than males at age whereas this difference was not observed age, suggesting that larger decline age. Females, general, longer lived except ple2 This phenotype abolished the rescue flies. also demonstrated marked age-related circadian locomotor activity males. Old Catsup26 accumulated lipid peroxidation product 4-hydroxy 2-nonenal (4-HNE) age-matched wild type, PuZ22 mutant revertant lines phenomenon absent. response expression key stress aging associated and/or related transcription factor genes across or which reverted type specific lines. Taken together, our results reveal novel involvement characteristics D. melanogaster.
