摘要: Chronic jet lag or shift work is deleterious to human metabolic health, in that such circadian desynchronization associated with being overweight and the prevalence of altered glucose metabolism. Similar changes are observed age, suggesting chronic accelerated cell aging intimately related, but association remains be determined. We addressed whether induces impairments young grass rats (2-3 mo old), using control old (12-18 old) as an reference. Desynchronized subjects had impaired tolerance (+60 +280%) when compared animals. Despite no significant variation liver DNA damage, shorter telomeres were characterized, not only animal cells (-18%), also at intermediate level desynchronized (-9%). The same pattern was found for deacetylase sirtuin (SIRT)-1 (-57 -29%), confirming jet-lagged have profile. Our data indicate experimental animals a precocious profile based on 3 well-known markers, well prediabetic phenotype. Such lag-induced alterations diurnal species constitute proof principle need develop preventive treatments persons workers.
