摘要: Summary A new Nairovirus isolated from a spleen-kidney pool of Mastomys erythroleucus trapped in the lower Omo valley, southern Ethiopia, is described. This virus belongs to Qalyub group, but clearly distinct and Bandia viruses by complement fixation tests. Thus, group now composed three agents, circulating afrotropical rodents through Ornithodoros ticks which are probably their true natural reservoir. We propose, for designation this agent, name «Omo virus.
